Review English

The convivial meeting of the Brisbane Delegation held at Beccofino Restaurant on 15th April 2011, provided the opportunity to enjoy some of refined Italian cuisine in Brisbane.
The menu started with a selection of fried calamari with rucola, bresaola and pizzas. The delegation enjoyed the excellent pappardelle with duck sauce as an accompaniment to the main dish. During the night we understood the reason why Beccofino is well known for its pannacotta. All the dishes were accompanied by an appropriate assortment of wines.  We shared this wonderful night with the company of our special guest, the television producer Carole Horne.
In general, all those who attended the convivial meeting spent a pleasant night with an excellent range of quality food at a good price-quality ratio.

Accademia Italian della Cucina Dinner at Beccofino

When the Brisbane branch of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina (Italian Academy of Cuisine) meets, one thing is for certain - nobody goes home hungry. The academy reviews local Italian restaurants, providing information to the organisation's headquarters in Italy for inclusion in its monthly publication. At the first dinner for 2011 the Beccofino chefs impressed academy members with a menu that included melt-in-your-mouth fried baby calamari and one of the popular eatery's specialty dishes, a delectable duck and ragu pasta.

Hosted by Alessandro Sorbello, producer of Queensland's annual Italian Week, guests included TV producer Carole Horne, Italian social starlet Federica Odorisio and Elio Marzullo of Elio Moda.
