Home made bread served with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Crudo di Polpo
Fennel, black ligurian olives and freshly milled pepper

Vitello Tonnato
Braised gippsland (vic) veal served cold, thinly sliced, topped with a tuna,
mayonnaise of capers, anchovies and served w ith cornichons

Paté di fegatini di pollo
Organic home made chicken liver pate cooked with pancetta, onion, sage and masala, served with cornishons, crostini and quince paste

Trota al finocchio
Deep sea ocean trout poached bleu and served with a fennel and mascarpone, puree, baby beetroot and watercress

Ravioloni di anatra
Hand made duck ravioli served in a butter and sage sauce, topped with poppy seeds

Sorbetto di mandarino
A refreshing, palate cleansing, mandarin sorbet

Agnello in padella
Slow cooked lamb rack served rare with caramelised garlic puree, marinated, artichokes and topped with a porcini mushroom sauce

Fondente al cioccolato
Soft centred chocolate fondant with mascarpone cream, fresh strawberries and a chocolate sauce.

La riunione conviviale della Delegazione di Brisbane si è svolta in un ambiente accogliente nel quale gli accademici e i loro ospiti hanno trascorso una piacevole serata assaporando piatti tipici della cucina italiana proposti dallo chef Tony Percuoco. Il giudizio generale della cucina è stato positivo nonostante sarebbe stato possibile raggiungere l’eccellenza se alcuni dettagli fossero stati curati meglio. Alcuni piatti sono stati piccoli nelle loro quantità o avrebbero richiesto un maggiore condimento. Particolarmente apprezzato, è stato il sorbetto al mandarino tra la primo e la secondo portata, e il dolce Fondente al Cioccolato ricco nel suo sapore. Diversi presenti hanno infine sottolineato il buon rapporto tra prezzo e qualità.

The convivial meeting of the Brisbane Delegation of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina took place in a welcoming environment at Tartufo Italian Restaurant in Brisbane in which the academicians and their guests spent a pleasant evening savoring dishes of Italian cuisine prepared by chef Tony Percuoco. The overall opinion on the courses was positive although it would have been possible to achieve excellence if some of the details had been taken more care of. Some dishes were small in quantity or maybe required more condiment. The mandarin sorbet between the first and the second course along with the sweet and tasty Dark chocolate were extremely appreciated.
Several Academicians provided good feedback about the good tradeoff between price and quality.
